Lydia was born in Paris, France and spent her youth being introduced to a holistic lifestyle of yoga, herbs and vegetarianism. When she was 15 years old, she moved to California and found herself in the midst of a like-minded community in Marin. Lydia developed a strong sense of compassion towards others at an early age and empathizing with people who were starving, Lydia went on her first 6 day fast at just 13 years old to experience what it really felt like to be hungry,

An avid reader, Lydia began seeking answers to many questions. Books like "Garden of Eden", Anne Wigmore and Arnold Ehret's books changed her life and inspired her to experiment. Her first breakthrough came during a 10 day fast at 16, when she experienced the connection between cleansing the body and cleansing the mind. This was a spiritual epiphany. Deeply inspired, Lydia started to fast in remote places, and it changed her life forever: The Parisian city girl became a vegetarian nature lover. The next 10 years of her life Lydia spent traveling around the US and Mexico following the sun and many adventures. She was inspired by the Essene teaching, and eighteen year old Lydia sun-baked her first sprouted bread on a boulder in the desert. She applied these teachings as she:
soaked some wheat (blessed by the Angel of Water)
sprouted it (blessed by the Angel of Air)
and sun dried it (blessed by the Angel of the Sun)

and blessed by the Angel of Earth

Here began her journey into toward the creation of her raw food business

In 1991 Lydia gave birth to her daughter Sonya, one of the inspirations and great joys of her life.

Following her passion of nurturing people through food and wanting to make a difference in the world, in 1996 Lydia opened a small raw food deli in Fairfax, California. Lydia had an impact on people through offering food that was consciously selected and prepared with love. Continuing to experiment with food dehydration at her restaurant and festivals between California and Maui, Lydia, though a gypsy at heart, settled in California to launch her first food dehydration company.

Lydia is fulfilled by her business. She knows that it makes a positive difference in people's lives not only by providing nourishing, whole food while at the same time supporting the organic farmer and the living Earth's ecology.

Lydia, whose lovingly-prepared foods has nourished the body mind and soul of over a million people.
